CI, the digital platform for the independent sector, has announced a partnership with music technology company MQA.
MQA’s technology captures the sound of the original performance and delivers master quality audio in a file that’s small enough to stream.
CI has implemented MQA’s encoding technology into its platform, and is therefore able to create MQA audio files for its label clients wanting to offer studio quality sound on their releases to music services that support MQA.
"We couldn't be more excited to be connecting the independent sector to one of the key innovations that will enable widespread adoption of high quality audio over the next few years," said CI general manager Kieron Faller (pictured).
"Our label clients are now able to create and deliver MQA files using CI to any music service that adopts the MQA format now and in the future."
Mike Jbara, CEO of MQA, added: “CI has impeccable credentials for adopting the latest developments in digital music, and having them as a partner will help accelerate the volume and variety of MQA music on offer. We’re delighted that they are now in a position to offer MQA encoding and distribution on behalf of their diverse client base.”
