In a speech to the Drive to Digital conference at Broadcasting House yesterday, BBC director of audio and music, Tim Davie, said the corporation would fund the expansion of its national DAB platform "despite the tough financial environment" adding that towns with more than 5,000 people would have indoor coverage.
However he added there would be small pockets of poor coverage in some areas.
