In the first wave of warning letters at the start of the month, an average of 10,000 letters were being sent. Hadopi is planning to increase this to 150,000 letters a day in the coming weeks.
Last week, French ISP Free backed down and agreed to send warning letters to its customers accused of filesharing. It had originally opposed the legal measures until the French government moved to closed a loophole in the legislation.
