Justin Bieber closed the opening weekend of British Summer Time last night, hot on the heels of acclaimed headline performances by Green Day and Phil Collins.
Bieber played the 65,000-capacity AEG Presents-promoted concert series with support from Martin Garrix, Tove Lo, Anne-Marie and Naughty Boy.
He followed Saturday night headliners Green Day, who played a career-spanning two-and-a-half hour set, and Phil Collins, who opened this year' BST Hyde Park on Friday. Both concerts sold out.
BST Hyde Park resumes on Thursday with a Kings Of Leon/Pixies double bill, with The Killers and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers to headline Saturday and Sunday respectively. There are also a series of free events held at the venue throughout the week.
Festival director Jim King said: “To have sold 350,000 tickets and have probably the best part of half a million people coming across the 10 days, including midweek, that's phenomenally successful for us and we couldn't have asked for any more.”
