AEG Live Nashville has appointed music industry veteran Clay Schell as senior talent buyer.
Schell will be based out of Atlanta, Georgia and will be responsible for buying shows for venues in the southeast.
“Atlanta is a very important market for any tour to hit. Having a talent buyer with the experience and relationships that Clay has is critical,” said Harnell. “We are excited to continue working with Clay and have him be part of our AEG Live Nashville team and increase our ability to offer our clients the best in class attention and service in the Atlanta market.”
Schell joins AEG Live Nashville from the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, where he served as the vice-president of programming. Prior to that, Schell was the general manager and southeast region manager for House of Blues and was responsible for developing nontraditional revenue and special events business at HiFi Buys Amphitheatre, in addition to talent buying.
“I am looking forward to working with the incredible team at AEG and continuing to deliver cutting edge entertainment in the Atlanta market,” said Schell, who operated his own company, Clay Schell Consulting Inc. for nearly 20 years and oversaw the success and implementation of tours by legendary artists including Tina Turner, Joe Cocker, Paul McCartney and Aerosmith.
