AEG Live has appointed Brooke Kain to the newly created position of chief digital officer.
Kain will oversee all digital operations at AEG Live and ensure that the company has a coordinated digital media strategy across its many music brands, events and properties. This will include the growth of existing digital channels and platforms, helping to leveraging data to drive ticket sales and new customer acquisition, creating event-based content as well as creating strategic partnerships with key digital entertainment companies.
“Brooke has developed and built the digital marketing platforms for some of today’s most important music companies,” said Rick Mueller, president of AEG Live North America. “Creating this role demonstrates AEG Live’s commitment to delivering innovative solutions to meet the rapidly changing needs of our global brands and audiences.”
“I am thrilled to join AEG at this exciting time in the company’s history,” said Kain. “I look forward to leading and supporting the team as we dynamically serve music fans messaging about their favorite bands, artists, and festivals. Innovating AEG’s marketing deals to drive awareness and content around some of the best shows in the business and bridging the gap between digital and real life experiences is an incredibly unique opportunity.”
Prior to joining AEG Live, Kain served as head of digital marketing for Apple Music, iTunes, where she managed digital marketing across all of Apple’s music, movies, TV, books and news channels. Prior to that, she served as head of digital marketing for Beats Music and head of digital marketing for Interscope Records.
