Solange Knowles surprise released her new album When I Get Home at midnight (March 1) via Saint Records/ Columbia Records. It was produced by Solange, John Carroll Kirby and John Key.
The album is her first studio album in three years and her fourth studio album. Her last release, 2016's A Seat At The Table has sold 51,922 copies to date according to Official Charts Company data.
Solange has written, performed and executively produced each song on the 19 track When I Get Home, which includes contributions from Tyler, The Creator, Cassie, Dev Hynes, Chassol, Playboi Carti, Panda Bear, Devin The Dude, The-Dream, and more.
Leading up to the release of When I Get Home, Knowles gave fans a glimpse into what was to come by taking over African-American social networking site BlackPlanet. The site shows snippets of video and an entire dossier of photos that portray a unique perspective of life in the South.
Solange also announced that nine special events will be taking place in her hometown of Houston on March 3 in places such as Vita Mutari Salon and Project Row Houses.
The album is now available digitally everywhere. It is unknown if any physical copies of the album will be made available.
