Grammy Award-winning rapper Jay-Z has confirmed his new album, 4:44, will be released on June 30 and will be made exclusively available to Tidal members.
4:44 is set to be the most high profile exclusive release since Frank Oceans’ Blonde debuted exclusively on Apple Music in August, 2016. Previous artists to deliver exclusive content on Tidal include Beyoncé, Kanye West and Rihanna.
Recent weeks have seen Tidal tease 4:44’s release with billboards and a YouTube video starring Mahershala Ali, Lupita Nyong’o, and Danny Glover, which includes a brief snippet of new song Adnis.
4:44 is the follow up to Jay-Z’s twelfth album 2013 release Magna Carter Holy Grail. According to Official Charts Company data, it has sold 149,674 copies to date.
