EMI MD Clive Cawley has told Music Week that an “entire new discovery phase” has reinstated Queen as one of the world’s biggest-selling acts.
The success of the Bohemian Rhapsody movie biopic, released in October, helped the band secure sixth place in the IFPI’s rankings of 2018 global recording artists – a unique achievement for a heritage act.
“It’s incredible, it just keeps on giving and the interesting thing is, it’s not just the soundtrack,” said Cawley.
