George Ezra has announced details of his second album alongside a run of UK, Europe and US tour dates.
Staying at Tamara’s is due for release March 23 by Columbia Records. Lead single Paradise is out now.
The album was inspired by his travels, including visits to the Isle of Skye, a pig farm in Norfolk and a stay at Tamara’s Barcelona Airbnb, which gave the album its title.
Ezra said: “Paradise started life as a melody that I couldn’t get out of my head… Months later I set to writing a song highlighting the undeniable feeling of meeting somebody new and falling for them. We often find ourselves second-guessing feelings that we have and trying to work out what it is that they might mean. But with love there is no uncertainty, it is what it is and I liken it to paradise.”
The singer-songwriter’s 2014 debut album Wanted On Voyage has sold 1,226,853 copies, according to the Official Charts Company.
His first appearance for 2018 will be a sold-out show at Shoreditch Town Hall on January 31, followed by an Australian tour. In March Ezra returns to the UK for a small run of shows before setting off to Europe and the US.
