Ariana Grande has dropped another new single. Imagine arrived at 5am UK time today (December 14), as teased by the singer on Instagram Stories. Click below to hear it.
Although the Sweetener album was only released in August, Grande has already set up the follow-up – expected early next year – with a pair of new singles. The singer has also hinted at other song titles from the album in recent videos.
Thank U, Next has broken streaming records with last week’s tally of 14,870,218, half of which was down to the new video inspired by romantic comedies.
The video broke the 24-hour record previously held by BTS by clocking up 46m views on YouTube/Vevo. It also broke YouTube’s premiere record, with 829,000 fans viewing the video at the same time upon its release. It has now passed 168m views.
However, Imagine may not scale the same heights as Thank U, Next, as Grande has revealed on social media that it won’t have an accompanying video.
Thank U, Next is heading for a fifth week at No.1. It has sales to date of 371,837, according to the Official Charts Company. Sweetener has so far moved 166,090 copies, according to the OCC.
Grande has become the most listened to artist on Spotify with more than 53 million monthly listeners.
