Peermusic has acquired a 50% ownership stake in Malaco Music, an independent publisher of soul and black gospel music.

The purchase sees Peermusic acquiring rights to classic songs including Old Time Rock N Roll, Mr Big Stuff Ring My Bell, Down Home Blues and Groove Me.

In separate acquisitions, Peermusic also bought a 50% interest in the Muscle Shoals Sound Music catalogues, Two Knight Music and the publishing entities of Atlanta International Records.
