Mercury Records has signed a deal with Mike Oldfield that will see the release of a brand new as yet untitled double album in September, his first collection of new music since 2002's Tres Lunas.
In addition, Mercury has secured all of Oldfield's back catalogue which will transfer to the label in 2008. It includes everything from his years at Virgin including Tubular Bells, Hergest Ridge and Ommadawn.
