Universal Music has elevated Island Records general manager Jason Iley to the position of managing director for the Mercury division.
Universal UK chairman and CEO Lucian Grainge, who became chairman and CEO of the international group last week, announced that Iley will take up his new role as of June 1, replacing outgoing managing director Greg Castell.
After a three-year tenure as managing director, Castell is currently in discussions with Universal about other opportunities within the group.
