It has been estimated that the service could launch before the end of the year as negotiations are said to be at an "advanced stage".
The iTunes application is currently available to download globally but it is the restricted iTunes store access that the reported deal will open up to Brazilian users, as royalties are negotiated with the country's publishing body.
