Simpson initially approached PledgeMusic earlier this year and more than 500 fans then generated the funds to record the new album in return for receiving a limited edition EP of new material and access to a range of premium incentives. The resulting record which is out on the Nusic Sounds label via PIAS, entered the UK Top 10 album chart at number six at the weekend.
