iTunes controls 25% of US music sales

The numbers, based on sales trends in the first half of the year, reveal the CD is still the dominant format, accounting for a 65% share of the music market.

In just over five years, Apple's download service has grabbed 69% of the digital market, which itself makes up 35% of all music sales. This is an increase in digital's share from 20% of the total market in 2007.
