Sony/ATV Music Publishing has today (May 29) announced it has extended its worldwide deal with UK hit songwriter, artist and producer Ben Ash who works under the name Two Inch Punch.
The agreement covers Ash’s entire song catalogue, including Sam Smith’s No. 1 hit Money On My Mind (1,017,222 – OCC) and songs recorded by Rag’N’Bone Man, Jake Bugg, Jessie Ware and Years & Years. The new deal additionally takes in future works.
Speaking about the agreement, Sony/ATV UK managing director and president, worldwide creative, Guy Moot said: “We are thrilled to continue this relationship with such a hugely talented producer and songwriter.”
I really appreciate Sony/ATV having faith in me again... I'm so excited for the next couple of years!

Sony/ATV head of A&R, UK David Ventura added: “We could not be happier! Working with Ben for the last few years has been tremendously inspiring. He is without a doubt one of the hottest writer/producers in the country and his track record speaks for itself. Alongside his work with established international artists, Ben has a gift for recognising and developing emerging song-writer talent, which is incredible. On behalf of everyone here in the UK and in the US, we are over the moon to continue our adventure with Ben and his team.”
Recently, Ash has been writing with and developing UK songwriter and recording artist Rex Orange County who in January was revealed as the runner-up to Sigrid on the BBC Sound of 2018 poll.
Ben Ash said: “I really appreciate Sony/ATV having faith in me again. I’ve always had a great relationship with the UK team, including Guy, David, Alice, Sarah and Alastair. More recently, the LA team, including Amanda and Nick, have been so amazing, too. I really appreciate them all and I hope I can reward their faith. So excited for the next couple of years!”
Ash's managers Ben Parmar and Daniel Parmar of PMR added: “We’re stoked to continue our working relationship with Sony/ATV, Guy and David and his team. Two Inch is in the most furtive period of his career and we are all incredibly excited for what the future holds.”
Earlier this month, Guy Moot told Music Week that Sony/ATV company must “keep innovating” to stay on top.
The publisher has just achieved a year-long chart run with its songwriters – including Drake, Cardi B, Ed Sheeran and Luis Fonsi for Despacito – on the US Hot 100. Sony/ATV managed to pull off a 52-week chart run in the UK last year, thanks to hits from Mike Posner, Drake, Major Lazer/Justin Bieber, The Chainsmokers, James Arthur, Little Mix, Clean Bandit and Ed Sheeran.
