YouTube’s music payouts have surpassed $1 billion.
That’s according to comments from Google’s vice president of YouTube content, Tom Pickett, during a Midem panel.
Picket said that the milestone has been reached “over the last several years” adding that the company is “all-in on music”.
But, during the same panel, BPI chief executive Geoff Taylor said that he felt the figure should be even bigger.
