The runner-up from The X Factor 2012, Jahmene Douglas, has signed a deal with Sony Music's RCA Records imprint with his debut solo album due for release in May.

Douglas will beginning the recording of the as-yet-untitled LP upon finishing the forthcoming X Factor 2013 Live UK arena tour which commences tomorrow (January 26) in Manchester.
