Universal/EMI: Roger Faxon to step down next week
Roger Faxon will leave his role as EMI CEO a week today (September 28) - the same date Universal takes over much of the acquired company's operation.
In a leaked internal email to staff this afternoon, Faxon revealed that certain employees - for example, those working for Virgin Records - would begin reporting into UMG on this date. He suggested that Universal boss Lucian Grainge would contact them in the coming days.
