In a bid to make its catalogue more transparent for potential licensees, Universal Music Publishing Group is to make its entire song database accessible online.

The company will publish its song data, including information such as names of songwriters and each song’s country of origin.

When launched, the database will be available at www.umusicpub.com. It will initially feature UMPG’s US catalogue before its global repertoire is added.
