Takashi Yano, the promoter behind Tokyo Rocks, has insisted that the festival will go ahead this year.
It was originally due to take place at the 60,000-capacity Ajinomoto Stadium on May 11th and 12th, with Blur, Primal Scream and My Bloody Valentine among the headliners.
In a statement sent to Music Week today (April 19th) Yano says that the event will now take place in "late 2013" and that exact dates and line-up details will be announced shortly.
