Music’s lack of a million-selling artist album in 2013 is depressingly evident in the official list of the UK’s biggest entertainment products of the year.
The below table, compiled by the UK’s Entertainment Retailers Association, shows 2013’s biggest-selling releases across music, video and video games in terms of sales volume.
Shockingly, its Top 20 doesn’t include a single music artist album - despite such releases typically carrying a significantly smaller retail price than blockbuster movies or video games.
