Elisabet Widlund has been appointed managing director of the Swedish music publishers’ trade association Musikförläggarna, succeeding Nutta Hultman, who retires at the end of the year.

Widlund (pictured) was formerly head of communications at SAMI, the Swedish Artists and Musicians’ Interest Organisation, where she has been since 2013. She has also worked as managing director at Musiksverige (Music Sweden), which represents artists, songwriters, musicians, managers, producers, labels and publishers.
