Spotify is set to announce a new free mobile tier that will provide access to its radio service as well as allowing users to play a limited number of songs on-demand.

The streaming service has secured licensing deals with all three major labels for the new tier, according to sources close to The Wall Street Journal.

Meanwhile TechCrunch insiders say that the new mobile offering will be launched at a press event on December 11.
