Simon Barnabas has joined Universal Music UK as managing director of its compilations division, UMTV.
Barnabas joins the label after a successful 16-year stint at Sony Music, most recently as marketing director. At UMTV, he will report to Universal Music UK chairman/CEO David Joseph.
Since 2013, the label has been led by Adam Corke, who has now been promoted to a new international role as VP, commercial affairs. He will report to Universal Music Group’s SVP, commercial affairs, Ross Foster.
