One of America’s leading music business conferences is coming to London. Music Week has formed a partnership with event organisers A&R Worldwide to launch MUSEXPO Europe, with the conference scheduled for London’s Millennium Hotel on September 18-20. Live showcases will take place at London’s legendary 100 Club.
MUSEXPO has operated in Los Angeles for the past 12 years, attracting a host of top executives to deliver keynotes and share their music business knowledge. The 2016 LA event started yesterday (April 17), and features the likes of BBC Radio 1’s Chris Price, BMG’s Korda Marshall, UTA’s Neil Warnock, Sire Records’ Seymour Stein and Shazam’s Chris Barton. A&R Worldwide previously operated a London version of the conference between 2008 and 2010.
A&R Worldwide/MUSEXPO president/founder Sat Bisla and Music Week editor Mark Sutherland were set to announce some of the highlights of the London event at its formal unveiling in Los Angeles today (April 18), with more news to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
Bisla commented: “After numerous requests and encouragement from the UK and European music business to bring back the high-level engagement, discussions, insight, networking and business aesthetic that MUSEXPO Europe has delivered in the past, we’re excited to return to London in partnership with Music Week. Music Week is one of the world’s most trusted music and media platforms and MUSEXPO a very highly-respected music business community and showcase platform – together, we look forward to delivering an unforgettable program and experience for our attendees.”
Sutherland added: “We are delighted to be working with A&R Worldwide to bring such a pivotal event back to the London stage, and the entire Music Week team is looking forward to contributing to the development of an engaging and innovative event that will push the boundaries of the music industry even further.”
