Morrisons has bought six HMV stores from the retailer’s administrators with plans to re-open them as Morrisons M local branches this summer.
It is the first sale of HMV stores since the company collapsed into administration at the start of the year. The new convenience stores will add to the 13 the supermarket has open so far.
The six stores are in Chesterfield, Newbury, Enfield, Scarborough, Lancaster and Wood Green.
