Former SoundCloud exec Jeff Toig has been appointed CEO of Tidal.

Prior to his stint at SoundCloud, Toig was SVP and founder of Muve music, the service offered by Cricket Wireless.

Jay Z, one of the service's artist-owners said Toig is "a leader at the intersection of consumer technology and entertainment for more than two decades."
