Industry veteran Derek Everett, whose lengthy career across five decades included helping to launch Tamla-Motown in the UK, has passed away.
Everett, who was in his mid-Seventies, worked with artists including Herman's Hermits, The Supremes, The Tremeloes and Tony Christie during a career which began in 1954 when he joined EMI's sales promotion department.
