Indies applaud Warner/PLG takeover
Independent music business leaders including Beggars founder Martin Mills have welcomed the news that Warner Music Group has acquired Parlophone Label Group.
The £487m all-cash acquisition was confirmed earlier this afternoon. The closing of the transaction is expected to occur in the summer subject to EU regulatory approvals and after a consultation procedure with employees.
