Digital radio to get £21m boost from BBC, Government and commercial networks

Digital radio is to get £21 million in investment from Government, the BBC and commercial radio networks Arqiva, Bauer and Global.

The cash will be used to increase digital radio coverage in the UK making it available to more households.

A second national DAB multiplex will also be built, enabling the launch of new national commercial radio stations. The new multiplex will be run by Ofcom.
