Concord Music Group has acquired independent labels Vanguard and Sugar Hill from Welk Music Group.
Founded in 1947, Vanguard Records’ roster currently includes Indigo Girls (pictured), John Butler Trio, John Fogerty and Barenaked Ladies, while its catalogue also features titles from Joan Baez, Doc Watson and Buddy Guy among others.
Nashville-based Sugar Hill Records, founded in 1978, has a roster including Lee Ann Womack, Kasey Chambers and Black Prairie. Its classic catalogue includes albums from Dolly Parton, Guy Clark, New Grass Revival and Tony Rice.
