David Japp, the European head of publisher Carlin Music, has left the company after 37 years.
Japp first joined Carlin in 1977, as MD of subsidiary The First Composers Company, representing composers and film/TV scores, before becoming director in 1981.
He was named Carlin CEO in 1989, after a five-year stint at Warner Chappell. As CEO, Japp was responsible for running UK operations and Carlin’s European companies.
