Secondary ticketing legislation must now be considered by Government - Met Police
Music industry executives calling for legislation to cap the price of secondary tickets have received a boost from a new Met Police report published today.
The Met's Ticket Crime: Problem Profile report is a result of Operation Podium, the dedicated unit set up to tackle serious and organised economic crime affecting the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
It concludes that "consideration must be given to introducing legislation to govern the unauthorised sale of event tickets".
