The BMI Awards 2013 took place at London’s Dorchester Hotel last night, celebrating the UK, European and Asian songwriters, producers and publishers of the most-performed songs on United States radio and television in the past year.
John Lydon (PRS) was named BMI Icon because of his “unique and indelible influence on generations of music makers”. He joined a list of past honorees including Queen, Ray Davies, Steve Winwood, Van Morrison, Donovan, Don Black and Bryan Ferry, among others.
