BMG has appointed European independent [PIAS] to provide key sales, marketing, distribution and fulfillment services for its newly-acquired Sanctuary and Mute Records catalogues - which it recently acquired for around £47m in total.
[PIAS] will be catalogue partner for the world outside North America for more than 100,000 Sanctuary/Mute recordings now owned by BMG. However, Music Week understands that the Depeche Mode (Mute) and Black Sabbath (Sanctuary) recordings are not covered by the deal.
