Apple is planning to integrate music ID functionality into iPhones and iPads in partnership with Shazam.
That’s according to two Bloomberg sources who suggest that Shazam will be weaved into a future iOS update for the mobile devices in a similar way to Twitter, meaning it wouldn’t have to be downloaded as a separate app.
It will be used through Apple’s voice-activate search feature Siri with users being able to ask ‘What song is playing?’, according to the report.
