Apple is close to buying talk radio app Swell, according to Re/code. Multiple sources say the deal is worth $30 million.
The algorithm-based iOS app was engineered by Concept.io and raised $7.2m from early investors, including Google Ventures, InterWest Partners and Draper Nexus Ventures.
The app, which launched in June last year, compiles podcasts and talk shows into personalised streams based on user behaviour. Its UI also enables in-car listening.
