£6m in cashless transactions at UK events this summer, predicts RFID firm
The amount of revenue garnered through cashless transactions at UK live events this summer is expected to double compared to 2013, according to RFID specialist Intelligent Venue Solutions.
The event technology company predicts that cashless transactions will exceed £6 million over the summer calendar of festivals and major events.
The deployment of RFID enabled wristband technology is expected to increase by 70% this year with over 3.5 million smart wristbands being issued across the summer season.
