Let’s start with the good news: if you haven’t submitted your entries for Music Week’s annual Women In Music Awards, it’s not too late to do so online. With that said, however, be warned: the final deadline for all entries is midnight tonight (August 13).
This is your to achieve recognition in a host of categories covering top executives, enduring and emerging artists and the next generation of industry talent.

Last year’s event saw executives from the global industry gather to honour the most successful women in music. Universal Music UK CEO/chairman David Joseph toasted the victory of Decca Records president Rebecca Allen in the Businesswoman Of The Year category. Kobalt president, global creative, Sas Metcalfe, flew in from LA to collect her International Woman Of The Year award and was cheered on by CEO and founder Willard Ahdritz and First Access Entertainment CEO Sarah Stennett.
The Music Week Women In Music Roll Of Honour will also return – last year’s dozen inductees (pictured, alongside the 2017 award winners) included Vick Bain, Lara Baker, Annette Barrett, Karma Bertelsen, Suzanne Bull, Karen Buse, Leah Stockford, Caryn Tomlinson, Amber Davis, Michelle Kambasha, Gemma Reilly and Caroline Simionescu-Marin.
Notably, this year’s ceremony includes the new category of Music Creative, for a woman in the UK industry who has made a significant contribution to the making of music behind the scenes through songwriting, studio production or studio technology.
