The nominees have been revealed for the Grassroots Venue: Spirit Of The Scene honour at next month's Music Week Awards.
Created in collaboration with the Music Venue Trust, the award aims to recognise the vital contribution that grassroots venues make to the music industry. Venues must have a capacity of less than 500 to qualify.
The shortlist is as follows:

• Rescue Rooms, Nottingham
• Sneaky Pete's, Edinburgh
• The Half Moon, Putney
• The Sugarmill, Stoke
• Trades Club, Hebden Bridge
• Black Box, Belfast
Previous winners are Leeds' Brudenell Social Club (2017) and Guildford's The Boileroom (2018).
The Music Week Awards in association with YouTube Music take place on May 9 at a new venue for 2019, Battersea Evolution – table bookings are open. BBC Radio 2’s Jo Whiley has been unveiled as the host of this year’s awards ceremony. The nominees for the other live categories are:
