Ed Sheeran has revealed his tour in support of his upcoming third album ÷ will kick off in Europe in March.
÷ (pronounced Divide) will land on March 3 via Asylum/Atlantic and follows the simultaneous release of two tracks earlier month - Shape Of You and Castle On The Hill - which are set to retain the Top 2 spots in the Official Singles Chart later today. Shape Of You has also hit No.1 in the US.
In a live Facebook Q&A with MTV yesterday, Sheeran replied "March" when asked when he would be hitting the road again. "Pretty soon after the album," he added. I don’t know when we’re coming with dates but I know we’re coming with dates soon. I definitely know it starts in March, in Europe.
Sheeran, who is heavily rumoured to be headlining the Saturday night of this year's Glastonbury Festival, last played Europe in August 2015 with a set at the Fusion Festival in Birmingham. The date came just over a month after his acclaimed Kilimanjaro Live and DHP Family-promoted three-night stand at Wembley Stadium. His booking agent is Marty Diamond of Paradigm Talent Agency in North America and Jon Ollier of CAA for the rest of the world.
Sheeran's manager Stuart Camp, of Rocket Management, recently did a Q&A with Music Week on the singer's comeback.
