Bruno Mars is the first artist unveiled to perform at the 2016 MTV EMAs at Ahoy Rotterdam on Sunday, November 6.
The singer will return to the MTV EMAs stage for the first live global performance of his brand new single 24K Magic. Additional performers, as well as presenters, will be announced shortly.
A three-time EMA winner, it will be Mars’ third EMA performance as he returns to the show in the Netherlands, following his 2013 performance of Gorilla at the 2013 MTV EMAs in Amsterdam.
“We’re thrilled to announce Bruno’s return to EMAs and can’t imagine a more appropriate way to jump start our biggest night of the year,” said Bruce Gillmer, EVP of music and talent programming for MTV International and executive producer of the 2016 MTV EMAs.
24K Magic is the lead single from Mars’ third studio album of the same name, and Mars’ first piece of solo music in nearly four years. The album will be released on November 18.
