MQA has struck a new global partnership with Deezer, which will significantly expand the UK sound technology company’s music offering and reach. Deezer’s streaming service is live in 185 countries.
MQA’s technology captures the sound of the original performance and delivers master quality audio in a file that’s small enough to stream.
The company’s technology will be integrated into Deezer’s platform, as well as across the service’s ecosystem of hardware partners and connected devices.
Mike Jbara, CEO of MQA, said: “This partnership has great synergy as we already work closely with several of Deezer’s hardware partners. We’re looking forward to a close collaboration.”
Both companies work with audio brands such as Bluesound, LG, Onkyo, Moon by Simaudio and Sony. The deal follows major partnership unveilings for MQA at the IFA technology show in Berlin.
The company’s commercial roll-out is in its early stages Over the last 15 months, MQA has been striking deals with all three major labels, as well as Merlin on behalf of the independent label community.
