The first big names have been announced for September’s Music Week Tech Summit together with O2 – and there are some real heavyweights from the worlds of technology and music on the list.
The summit takes place at The O2 on September 26 and is already shaping up to be an absolute must-attend event for anyone with an interest in music’s smart future.
And now we can name some of those who will be providing the agenda-setting panels and keynotes, with topics covered ranging from voice control to virtual reality and beyond.
On the former subject, Amazon global head of programming and content strategy Alex Luke – a man with his own hotline to Alexa – will be talking about the huge impact voice has had on streaming. While Steven Hancock, co-founder and COO of MelodyVR will be revealing how virtual reality will transform the way we experience music.
Also appearing is Kobalt’s newly-appointed chief technology officer Rian Liebenberg. He’ll be delivering a keynote session that you can bet will be keenly observed by everyone else in the industry.
And then there’s the UK’s very own Sammy Andrews, CEO of Deviate Digital and always an unmissable panellist – as anyone who saw her at Music Week’s MUSEXPO Europe in 2016 will attest.
Elsewhere at the all-day event, you’ll be able to hear the likes of Warner Bros Records’ Sebastian Simone, O2’s Paul Shulver, the BPI Innovation Hub’s Vanessa Higgins and JAAK’s Becky Brook, plus many others sharing their expert knowledge of how technology can help the music business and vice versa.
