Amazon links up with Indian entertainment platform Eros Now

Indian entertainment platform Eros Now has announced a partnership with Amazon Prime Music.

The collaboration will provide Amazon Prime Music in India access to Eros Now’s music content. The catalogue includes Hindi tracks from recent Bollywood blockbusters along with songs in other Indian regional languages such as Punjabi, Tamil, Bengali and Malayalam.

Amazon Prime Music is available in India at 129 INR per month (£1.46 per month). This content partnership will supplement Amazon Prime Music’s existing offering with the full catalogue of Eros Now titles from its premium catalogue of classics and new releases as well as music being developed by the entertainment company.

The integration of both platforms will provide catalogue to consumers in an ad-free environment. Under the terms of the partnership, Eros Now Music will be available across all major streaming platforms worldwide.

With 12,000-plus movie titles, music videos, TV titles and others Eros Now content, the platform caters to more than 142 million registered users and 15.9 million paying subscribers worldwide.

Amazon Music and Alexa recently won in the Consumer Innovation category at the Music Week Awards.

Both Spotify and YouTube Music have recently launched in India.
