Adele's 25 is finally coming to streaming services, coinciding with her headline slot at Glastonbury this weekend.
The singer's third album is already on Spotify in Australia - where it's already Friday - with head of UK content programming George Ergatoudis confirming her appearance on the platform in the UK via Twitter: "Yes! @Adele 's 25 arrives on @Spotify tomorrow in the UK. Just in time for her headline set @GlastoFest on Sat nite. Can't wait!!"
25 had a very successful start in the Official Albums Chart in the UK - to date, it's sold 2,986,888, and will likely be tipped over the three million milestone next week, with the additional 'sales' from streaming set to get the album to that landmark even sooner.
The album held on to the No.1 position for seven straight weeks upon release in December last year; Music Week understands that negotiations for its streaming appearance started up again after it started drifting out of the Top 10 in May. Adele originally rebuffed all streaming services when the album was released, while many subsequent superstar releases have held back from streaming on release, or done exclusive deals.
Update: As well as Spotify, which had the first announcement, 25 will be on Google Play Music, Amazon Prime Music and Apple Music from midnight too.
