Mixed blessings: Festival bosses review 2016 season

It was a decidedly mixed year for the UK’s abundance of music festivals. Glastonbury smashed it (obviously), and Reading & Leeds both had strong outings, while V Festival’s pop facelift proved a hit with the public, if not with the critics. But it wasn’t all good news. T In The Park is taking 2017 off following another troubled year, and Download was hit by any festival’s worst enemy – torrential rain.
